Jai Ram Thakur Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh presented Rs. 50000 crore budget for next financial session. Announcing package of benefits for the poor and needy, he said that government was committed for the all round development of the state and its people.

He said that increase in the MLA local development fund would ensure uniform development of the state. He said that upliftment of poor and women security were priorities of his government. He said that special emphasis was given for the benefit of farmers in the state as additional funding was provided for Agriculture, Fishries, Animal husbandry and allied fields.
He said that government had proposed hike in the budget for infrastructure development.
Former Chief Minster Prem Kumar Dhumal said that the budget was balanced and would add pace to the development of the state if executed in its true letter and spirit.
