Runjan Ramta from Shimla bagged Second and Renuka Chauhan from Chidgaon grabbed Third Position

19 year old girl Kritika Thakur from Balh villlage of Sundar Nagar bagged the title of Most Vivacious Miss Himachal 2020 beauty contest concluded at Basant Resort organised by Media Vision here yesterday evening . Kritika Thakur a third year student of physiotherapy in Rayat and Bahra University at Mohali in Punjab wanted serve the society with her profession and live her passion for Acting and fashion designing. She said that rafting activity event helped her to concur fear and water phobia, while spending night in dense forest in tents was thrilling experience at Ultimate Survival Campsite on the banks of river Beas.
Significantly, The three days event included sports, fitness and adventure activities. First runner Runjan Ramta 21 year old (5.7 ft.) girl form Shimla was B.Com graduate and poised to win Miss Universe title. She said that Beauty Pageant built self confidence and motivated all participants to focus on their goals. She said that rafting in blue waters of Beas River had given newest experiences of life. The night in the small tent in the middle of dense forest was filled with thrill. She said that she was scary but helped in winning over fears.
Renuka Chauhan 24 was from Chidgaon in Shimla district was second runner up. She said that she had lived a new life in these three days of various activity sessions. She said that girls in remote villages of her area were married as soon as they attain 18 years of age and were hardly had any freedom of life. She was preparing for UPSC exams and wanted to join administrative service, having completed her master’s degree in Mathematics.
Six girls amongst finalists were awarded with citations including Anjana Miss Charming, Damini Miss Glamorous, Priyanka Miss Best Ramp Walk, Fiza Miss Fashionable, Meghawi Miss Gorgeous and Shivani Miss Genius. As many as 14 girls made their path to the Grand Finale out of 45 registered for online auditions from across the state.
Major (Retd.) RC Sharma who established the adventure campsite Ultimate Survival Campsite in village Dagoh near Jwalamikhi said that the site provided opportunity for all round development to its guests.
Neelam Kashav event coordinator said that this was fourth event that started in 2017. She said that this year auditions were done online due to corona virus pandemic. She said that winners were given prizes of worth rupees 50 thousand including cheques, gift hampers, free holiday packages and mementos. “Encourage girl child” was the theme of the event, she added.
